As Christian mothers, it is our responsibility to pray for our children. Even before they are conceived, our children should be prayed for because God hears our prayers. No matter what stage of life they are in, they need our prayers. Wonderful things can happen when Mamas Pray.

What is Your Teen Reading?

Giving our children clean, wholesome books to read is important. What they put into their minds through books can either hurt or help them. It is our duty as parents to make sure our teens know what kind of material is appropriate. Guarding their mind is so important today.

The Problem With Our Young People

Where there is no vision, the people perish, those words are found in the book of Proverbs. In a church we visited those words where hanging above the front door inside the auditorium. The pastor told why he had the banner made and placed there. He wanted everyone who walked out the doors to be reminded they had to have a vision in their life. While he could only do so much for them at the pulpit, it was up to them to have a vision once they left the church. As parents, we are to have a vision while training our children.

 It has been said, "...a woman's work is never done".  Day after day, night after night...sometimes it seems as if there's no break, no help, no relief.  I know.  I've been there.  I had 4 babies and 2 miscarriages in 6 years with no family in the area and a husband that was very nearly never home!
(By very nearly, I mean he worked from 7:30/8:00 AM to around 8:00 PM everyday. Some days he worked till about midnight or 3:00 AM. Who says people in the ministry don't work!?!)

Discipling our Children

Raising children who are strong in their faith doesn't just happen.  It takes prayerful, intentional, determined effort to lay an unshakeable foundation that will see them through this life.  We can't just desire it, we have to seek Him earnestly and allow His redeeming love to flow onto our little seedlings.

The task can seem overwhelming when we try to add character training into our days.  We easily grow weary and troubled when we see it separately from the rest of our interactions with our children.  But if we will allow it to simply be our day, with the other stuff flowing around it, it comes so much more naturally.
