CLN: What is your name?

Katharine, but some call me “Kathy”.

CLN: Welcome Katherine!

Where do you live?

I live in Southwest Arkansas, near the Crater of Diamonds.

CLN: What is the name and url of your blog?

Home's Cool

I have two. The one I learned with is called “Home’s Cool!” and it is at
 http://katharinetrauger.wordpress.com .

Conquering Mom

The other one is probably my main calling, is called “The Conquering Mom”, and it is at
 http://TheConqueringMom.com .

CLN: What is your niche?

I write about all things “woman” but specialize in emotional hurt and forgiveness.

CLN: When did you start blogging, and what got you started?

I began in 2009 because I was told you have to have a web presence before a publisher will take you seriously.

CLN:
How would you describe your blogging style?

Full of stories and friendly, but also full of difficult truth.

CLN: Who do you write for...who is your audience?

Hurting and/or inexperienced women who want to know what God wants of them.

CLN: Do you have specific goals, or a vision for your blog?

I see it as a great way to find women who need help, and to provide some of that help. So many hurting women—that is all I can see.

CLN: Who do you admire?

Almost everyone! Mary Demuth? Mick Silva? (Christian writers) Elizabeth Elliott and Corrie ten Boom (Christian walk) My husband (an entire and full and rich half-hour sermon every single week, plus wisdom to spare for the off hours.)

CLN: Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

Jon Morrow. A quadriplegic who makes millions of dollars with just his computer, and who gives away amazing instruction with great generosity. He began his business with the idea that he had to do something to provide for his mother someday.

CLN: What is one of your most viewed posts you'd like to share?

 https://theconqueringmom.com/2014/09/29/seven-reasons-your-christian-husband-cannot-do-better/

CLN: Of all your posts, is there one that is your most favorite?

 https://theconqueringmom.com/2012/07/10/when-a-man-gives-birth/

CLN: How do you motivate yourself to keep your blog up and running?

I think of all the people I would let down if I stopped. And I know it is God’s will that I continue.

CLN: What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?

 Lack of money.

CLN: What are you known for? ex. crazy cat lady?

Knowing how to untangle messes in the womanly life; seriously, I’m beginning to get word of mouth followers and tearfully happy friends. So fulfilling!

CLN: Do you have any hobbies?

 Extensive herb gardening.

CLN: Coffee or tea?

Yes! But not iced. ;)

CLN: What is the most important thing for people to know about you?

If you are unhappy being a woman, I can help you fix that. But you have to be desperate…

CLN: What is your greatest achievement outside of blogging?

Raising five kids to be whole adults while keeping their daddy happy.

CLN: Is there something you would like to add?

God’s way is the only way that works.  Don’t listen to what the world says!

Thank you Katherine for taking the time to tell us a little about yourself and your blogs!

    1. Thanks, Michelle!
Yes, there are a lot of hurting women. Most miss the whole point of womanhood and therefore, miss all the joy of having true purpose in life. :(
